Personal

I am a small town guy; I grew up on a cattle farm in Southern Oklahoma about 30 miles East of Duncan. I graduated from Velma-Alma High School class of 1996. I feel that by attending a rural school I received an education that was two-fold. First, the classes were small so we had lots of one on one time with our teachers; therefore the quality of the education was very good. Second, I learned ethics, integrity, and the value of hard work. Most of my summers were filled with helping my grandfather in the oil field or hauling hay for some extra cash. I look back on these days fondly and thank God for the man that I have become.

I attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford Oklahoma; there I earned my bachelors degree in Business Management and Finance. After graduation I completed an internship with a brokerage firm out of Edmond Oklahoma. I stayed in the Oklahoma City area and worked for 2 years with Washington Mutual as a credit counselor and consumer lender. I transferred to Tulsa in the fall of 2003 and became a bank manager with MidFirst Bank. While working at MidFirst I developed the personal skills needed to be successful in the Financial Services Industry. I worked as a Bank Manager for 4 years and helped clients with a wide range of things involving their personal finances, but I found that I wanted something more. Through relationships that I had developed at the bank I was introduced to Northwestern Mutual and soon discovered what I was looking for. I now have the ability to help many people through financial education and make a positive impact on their financial futures. My goal is to help as many people as I can, to have a better future for themselves and their families.
